Prayer from Tim Tebow helps local woman during tragedy

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) — In a time of tragedy Karen Uldrick got comfort from an unlikely source, Tim Tebow.

Uldrick, a former Barnwell resident and now lives in Lexington County, was flying on a plane to Phoenix for a work conference when the husband of one of her friends and co-workers collapsed on the plane. As people were doing CPR to try to save the man, Uldrick was trying to comfort her friend.

That’s when a flight attendant said Tebow asked if he could come and pray with them, to which she said of course.

Tebow prayed and stayed with Uldrick and the friend for the rest of the flight. When they landed the man was taken to the hospital and Tebow took Uldrick and her friend to the hospital in a rental SUV.

The man died when they reached the hospital, but Tebow stayed for a couple hours and prayed with them. On July 19, he attended the memorial service in Orangeburg. Uldrick says she still keeps in touch with Tebow.
