AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) — Gold ribbons will soon adorn the trees outside the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

Pediatric cancer patients and their families will hang the ribbons starting at 4 p.m., in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September.

CHOG is home to the Augusta area’s only Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Clinic, where doctors and nurse practitioners diagnose and treat children with diseases including hemophilia, leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell disease, and other cancers and disorders.
