Monday, Aug. 29, 2016

GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) — A new grocery store opening this week will bring 250 jobs to Grovetown.

The new Kroger Marketplace will hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday at 10 a.m., at 435 Lewiston Road.

The store will offer new features, including a service that allows customers to order online and pick their groceries up in the store at a time that is convenient for them.

To celebrate the grand opening, Kroger is donating $500 to Grovetown High School, Columbia Middle School and Baker Place Elementary School. Grovetown Mayor Gary Jones will also be there for the ribbon-cutting event.
